Top 5 Music and Audio Apps in Russia: Q1 2025 Performance

In the first quarter of 2025, the music and audio app market in Russia saw notable trends across the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Yandex Music, Books & Podcasts experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $54.6K by the end of February. Weekly downloads began at approximately 336.7K and saw a general decline to about 195.2K by the end of March. Active users rose steadily from 32M to 33.9M over the quarter.

VK Music: playlists & podcasts had a peak revenue of about $99.3K in the last week of February. Downloads started at 201.2K and decreased to approximately 124.9K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decline, ending the quarter at around 4.1M.

МТС Музыка: песни, подкасты maintained a modest revenue, peaking at $210 in February. Downloads began at 112.3K, declining to 58.3K by March's end. Active users fluctuated, ending the quarter close to 1.8M.

Zvuk: HiFi music, podcasts did not report revenue. Downloads grew significantly mid-March, reaching 91.1K, while active users increased steadily to about 2.8M.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts also reported no revenue. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 113K and ending at 78.6K. Active users remained relatively stable, closing the quarter at approximately 10.4M.
